Building Performance Standards (BPS) are a set of regulations that are being adopted by states and localities to reduce emissions in existing residential and commercial buildings. Currently these sources account for over 40 percent of carbon dioxide emissions in the US. NHT has been working with various entities and organizations including state, local and federal governments, providing policy guidance and innovative ideas.
