This episode of Voices Out Loud features Victoria Aarhus, a resident at Memorial Meadows, a CommonBond community in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Victoria found herself in need of affordable housing after five back surgeries that rendered her unable to do her job as a nurse and the passing of her mother. Ultimately, coming to Memorial Meadows granted her peace of mind, and a stable place to call home.
Voices Out Loud, a video series by the National Housing Trust, features residents, staff and owners of affordable housing communities nationwide. These videos share the true stories of those who live, work and manage these communities, and shows the positive impact affordable housing not only has on one family, but an entire community.
